Announcement of receiving the Excellence Award in the Sustainable category of the 32nd Japan Stationery Awards.

Miyamori Co., Ltd.’s “Clothes Pencil,” which utilizes our carbonization technology, has been selected for the Excellence Award in the Sustainable category of the 32nd Japan Stationery Awards.

The Japan Stationery Awards are awards presented to outstanding stationery items of the year. From 2023, a new category called the “Sustainable category” has been established, focusing on eco-friendly materials and upcycled stationery.

The Clothes Pencil, which won the award this time, was commissioned by the clothing manufacturer “Miyamori.”
It processes scraps of clothing such as gym uniforms into pencil cores by carbonizing them in our carbonization equipment and finishing them as pencils at a stationery manufacturer. By carbonizing textile scraps that were previously incinerated, we have been able to reduce CO2 emissions.

In the future, we will continue to use our carbonization technology to work on reducing CO2 emissions.
