At the “BIOMASS EXPO—11th International Biomass Exhibition,” ZE Energy Co., Ltd. presented a panel display at the Japan Organic Resources Association booth, and Hirotaka Asao of the Sales Department delivered a presentation on the theme of “The Global Biomass Landscape and Carbonization Center Operations.”
In his presentation, against the backdrop of a major global shift in decarbonization trends—from “emission reduction” to “carbon cycling and sequestration”—he introduced the current situation where the value of biomass is evolving from “energy” to “carbon resources.”
In light of the rapidly growing biochar market and the expansion of carbon credits, he proposed the importance of “regionally distributed carbonization centers” as an implementation model for Japan.
ZE Energy will continue to promote the valorization of underutilized resources with carbonization technology at its core, aiming to build a new carbon cycle model that begins at the local level.
