Following last year’s participation, ZE Energy Co., Ltd. exhibited at e-world energy & water 2026, one of Europe’s largest international trade fairs for the energy industry, held from February 10 to 12, 2026, at Messe Essen in Essen, Germany.
Positioned as an international platform bringing together energy and water-related solutions and advanced technologies, the exhibition saw record-high numbers of both exhibitors and visitors compared to last year.
■ Record Numbers! 1,136 Exhibitors and 37,000 Visitors
E-world energy & water 2026 saw a record-breaking number of over 1,136 exhibitors from more than 80 countries and regions, including Europe, North America, and Asia, with visitor numbers exceeding 37,000.
ZE Energy participated as an exhibitor in the “Tokyo Pavilion” and the “Fukushima Prefecture Pavilion,” presenting its biochar and carbon credit model, biomass coke model, and solutions for converting biomass waste into resources using proprietary carbonization technology to European government agencies and companies.

■ Rapid Growth of the Biochar and Carbon Credit Market
In recent years, the biochar market in Europe has been growing rapidly. It is projected to reach approximately 208,000 tons by 2026 and exceed 595,000 tons by 2031.
The market is expanding at a high annual growth rate of over 20%, and Germany, in particular, holds a significant position within the EU, accounting for approximately 30% of the market share.
EU のカーボンクレジット市場は世界最大級の規模を誇り、ドイツ単独でも 2024 年の カーボン取引収益が約 185億ユーロ（約190 億ドル）に到達し、国のエネルギー転換政策や温室効果ガス削減の取り組みにおける重要な資金源となっています。

ZE Energy, which has been conducting research and implementing carbonization technology for 35 years, has established proprietary technology to convert waste and unused biomass into high-value-added carbon materials.
